SCIENCE SCHOOL
PROFESSOR GEORGIY LOZHKIN, DOCTOR OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCES
A science school is a community of scientists of different statuses, competencies, specializations, coordinating their research under the guidance of a leader. The emergence of a scientific school in a particular field is due to the fact that the development of scientific knowledge is not satisfied with the existing formal and informal associations of scientists.
The school, as well as the scientific organization, belongs to the class of system objects, in which the criteria of similarity between scientists are traced according to: scientific strategy, approach to problem solving, career orientation, source of motivation. At the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy of the FSP there is a scientific school headed by Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Georgy Volodymyrovych LOZHKIN, who is the author (co-author) of more than 500 scientific and educational works, including 20 books and textbooks. problems of military, engineering and economic psychology, conflict, sports psychology and health psychology.
The first scientific works in the field of psychology were related to the study of the work of radar station operators (selection, training, training, activities in special (combat) conditions). Together with his students, he conceptually substantiated and developed technical devices that allow modeling the activities of operators for various purposes (radiotelegraphers, tablet drivers, drivers, surveillance and support operators). More detailed and special development of theoretical positions in the training of military specialists served as a basis for identifying socio-psychological problems of the organization and forecasting joint activities in extreme conditions. Within the framework of this research, together with his followers, a rigorous scientific theory of psychological prediction of the success of professional training of future military specialists was developed, taking into account human capabilities for self-development, change and improvement as a subject. Within the framework of the presented concept it is shown that the forecasting system contains a holistic set of methodological tools for obtaining psychodiagnostic information regarding the cognitive, regulatory and communicative qualities of cadets, their life experience, status and role indicators of communication. Formal methods of generalization, interpretation and prediction, as well as reasonable criteria for the degree of success – are the quintessence of the developed concept. The representative sample used scientifically sound methods of psychological and mathematical analysis of psychodiagnostic information, substantiated adequate methods of formation and verification of forecasts. Studies on a large contingent of subjects have determined that the success of training is determined not only by the compliance of the individual with professional requirements, but also the degree of mutual activity of the subjects of educational activities. Under certain conditions of interaction, predictions of the success of training of future specialists are based on individual differences of professionally and socially significant properties of individuals, which are manifested in relation to the chosen profession, in the level of cognitive processes, personal characteristics and status-role indicators of communication. The relationship between them is not constant and affects the reliability of the forecast.
Lozhkin GV and his students were the initiators of the First All-Ukrainian Conference on Conflict Psychology. This conference revealed the urgent need for scientific research in the field of psychological knowledge about conflicts and conflict genes, which are considered at the intrapersonal, interpersonal and intergroup levels. The conference materials served as a methodological basis for the introduction of conflictology courses in the educational process of higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The scientific interests of GV Lozhkin and his students are also related to the psychology of physical education and sports. This branch of psychological science studies the patterns of manifestations, development and formation of the human psyche in the specific conditions of sport. Possibilities of using subject-activity and system approaches to studying the mechanisms of behavior regulation, personality development of both the athlete and the coach, as well as the issues of professional deformation and “burnout” in sports are identified. The original concept of the psychological potential of a qualified athlete and the mechanisms of its regulation are substantiated. The socio-psychological aspects of the sports team as a subject of joint activity are analyzed in detail. The results of the theoretical and empirical research together with students were published at numerous international scientific and scientific meetings (Austria, England, Belarus, Venezuela, Greece, Spain, India, Iran, Canada, China, Poland, Germany, Morocco, Sweden, Russia and others).
